Chelsea continue to be linked with a move for highly-rated German winger, Lukas Schmidt. Sources close to the club suggest that Schmidt, currently playing for Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen, has been identified as a potential target as Mauricio Pochettino looks to strengthen his attacking options.
Schmidt, 22, is known for his blistering pace, impressive dribbling skills, and ability to cut inside onto his favoured left foot to unleash a powerful shot. He has scored 12 goals in 20 appearances for Leverkusen this season, demonstrating his prolific scoring ability.
However, Chelsea face competition for Schmidt's signature, with several other top European clubs also monitoring his progress. The Blues are believed to be willing to pay a fee in the region of £60 million to secure his services.
