De Bruyne Injury Latest - Manchester City

Manchester City Star Kevin De Bruyne Ruled Out Until 2024

Manchester City have confirmed that Kevin De Bruyne will be out injured until 2024. The Belgian midfielder sustained an ankle injury during City's 3-1 victory over Copenhagen in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Initial reports suggested that De Bruyne had suffered a minor sprain, but further scans revealed a more serious ligament damage. Manager Pep Guardiola stated that the injury is expected to keep the influential midfielder out of action for the majority of the season.

“It’s a difficult situation for us, of course,” Guardiola said in his post-match press conference. “Kevin is a key player for us, and we’re disappointed to lose him for so long. We're working closely with the medical staff to ensure he receives the best possible care and we’ll continue to monitor his recovery closely.

City are facing a significant challenge in midfield without De Bruyne's creativity and passing range. The club are reportedly exploring options to bring in temporary cover, but a permanent signing is unlikely to happen before the January transfer window.
