Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing a new striker in the upcoming transfer window. Rumours are swirling around several potential targets, with one name consistently appearing – Mateo Fernandez of Atletico Madrid. Fernandez, a 22-year-old forward, has been in impressive form for the Spanish giants this season, scoring 12 goals in 20 appearances.
Sources close to the club suggest that Arteta is keen to add a player with both pace and finishing ability to his squad. Fernandez’s contract is due to expire next summer, which could make a deal easier to negotiate. However, Atletico Madrid are unlikely to sell their star player without a significant offer.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also considering other options, including a move for Monaco’s Alexander Dubois. But Fernandez remains the priority.
