Speculation began following Dubois' outstanding performances for Ligue 1 side, Olympique Lyon. City scouts were reportedly present at Lyon’s recent match against Marseille, observing Dubois closely.
Dubois, 22, is known for his exceptional passing range, vision, and tenacious defensive work. He's a dynamic player capable of controlling the midfield and contributing both offensively and defensively. Sources suggest City are looking for a younger player to bolster their midfield options for the long term.
Manager Pep Guardiola is said to be particularly impressed with Dubois’ ability to dictate tempo and his willingness to track back and defend. However, Lyon are unlikely to let go of their star player for cheap.
