Manchester United Plot Move for Rising Star

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for highly-rated young defender, Alex Johnson, currently playing for Championship side, Bristol City. Sources close to the club suggest that manager Erik ten Hag believes Johnson possesses the raw talent and potential to become a key figure in the Red Devils' squad for years to come.

Johnson, 19, has been in impressive form for Bristol City this season, consistently impressing with his aggressive tackling, composed defending, and ability to play out from the back. His contract is set to expire in 18 months, potentially making him available for a relatively lower fee than a player with a longer term left on their deal.

“We’ve been monitoring Alex for a while now,” a United source told The United Gazette. “He’s a fantastic player with a real eye for a pass and he’s incredibly quick. We feel he could be a fantastic addition to our defense, particularly if we can get him on a reasonable deal.”

However, Bristol City are unlikely to want to lose their key defender, and are expected to make a strong offer to retain him. The race is on to secure Johnson’s services.
