Important: Upcoming Profile Update and New Features

We're excited to announce a significant update to user profiles and introduce some highly requested features designed to enhance your experience within our community. This update aims to provide more customization, better visibility, and improved interaction tools.
Key Changes and New Features:
- Enhanced Profile Customization: You'll now have more options to personalize your profile page. This includes new fields for showcasing your interests, skills, social media links, and a larger avatar/banner image area.
- Activity Feed on Profiles: See a user's recent community activity directly on their profile, including forum posts, comments, and group participation.
- Badges and Achievements: A new system for awarding badges and achievements based on your contributions and engagement. These will be displayed prominently on your profile.
- Improved Privacy Controls: Granular control over which parts of your profile are visible to different user groups (e.g., all users, friends, moderators).
- Searchability: Profiles will be more easily discoverable through an improved search function, allowing you to find users based on their interests and skills.
What You Need to Do:
Once the update is live, we encourage you to visit your profile page and explore the new options. Please take a moment to review and update your information, including your privacy settings, to ensure everything is set as you prefer.
Important Note: Old profile data will be migrated, but some formatting might be adjusted. We recommend reviewing your profile after the update.
Timeline:
The update is scheduled to roll out on November 10th, 2023. We will post another announcement once the deployment begins.
