Cooling Performance Comparisons

GamerGuru
I’ve been testing the Lancool III with three different setups: 1️⃣ Stock fans (3x 120mm PWM) – 55°C under load. 2️⃣ Upgraded to 3x Noctua NF-A12x25 – 52°C. 3️⃣ Added a 140mm rear exhaust – 49°C. All tests run on an RTX 4090, i9-14900K, and a 750W PSU. Noise levels stayed under 35 dB(A) for all configs. Anyone else seeing similar drops? (Attached: thermals.csv, fan curves.png)

Great data, @GamerGuru! I tried the same case with Arctic P12 PWM fans, but I kept the original fan placement. I got 53°C. The biggest win was moving the intake to the bottom panel – shaved off another 2°C. Also, make sure the dust filters are clean; they can add ~1.5°C after a month.

If you’re looking for the absolute lowest temperatures, consider swapping the top exhaust for a 140mm fan and using a thicker (2mm) acrylic side panel. I saw a 3°C drop on my test bench. Also, the built‑in fan controller in the case is a bit finicky – flashing the BIOS of the motherboard can sometimes improve PWM response.
