Great topic! For budget 1080p and even dipping into 1440p, I've been really impressed with the performance of the AMD Radeon RX 7600. It offers excellent rasterization performance for its price point, often trading blows with or even beating the RTX 4060 in many titles. Ray tracing isn't its strongest suit, but for pure rasterization and value, it's hard to beat right now. Power consumption is also quite reasonable.
I agree with RadeonXpert on the RX 7600 for pure rasterization. However, if DLSS and better ray tracing performance are important to you, the Nvidia RTX 4060 is a solid contender. While it might be slightly more expensive and a bit slower in raw rasterization, DLSS 3 Frame Generation can make a huge difference in supported games, and its ray tracing is generally superior. Plus, it's very power efficient.
Also worth considering is the Intel Arc A770 16GB. While Intel's drivers have had a bumpy road, they've improved significantly. The A770 16GB offers great value, especially if you can find it on sale, and the 16GB VRAM buffer is a nice plus for future-proofing and higher resolutions.
