I'm looking to upgrade my rig for 1440p 144Hz gaming. What's the best value GPU right now? I've heard good things about the RTX 4070 and the AMD Radeon 7700 XT. Any thoughts?
Both cards are solid, but the RTX 4070 edges out in ray tracing and DLSS support, which can boost performance in newer titles. If you don't need heavy ray tracing, the Radeon 7700 XT can be slightly cheaper with comparable rasterization performance.
I'd add power consumption into the equation. The RTX 4070 draws around 200W, while the Radeon 7700 XT sits near 180W. If you're on a tighter PSU budget, the AMD might be the safer bet.
