Hey everyone!

After months of research and saving up, I'm finally ready to share my very first custom PC build. I was aiming for a solid mid-range machine that could handle most modern games at 1080p with high settings, and I think I've achieved that!

Here's the component list:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
  • CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition
  • Motherboard: MSI B550 Tomahawk
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
  • SSD: Crucial P3 1TB NVMe PCIe 3.0
  • PSU: Corsair RM650x (650W)
  • Case: Fractal Design Meshify C Mini

The build process was a bit nerve-wracking, especially installing the CPU and RAM, but it all went smoothly. Cable management was a challenge in the Mini ITX case, but I'm pretty happy with the results. Temperatures are looking great too, with the CPU staying around 60-65°C under load.

I've already tested it with Cyberpunk 2077 and Apex Legends, and the performance is fantastic! I'm getting smooth frame rates and enjoying the visuals more than ever.

I'm open to any feedback or suggestions for future upgrades! What do you guys think?

Looks great, u/GamerGuy101! That's a solid build for the price. The Ryzen 5 5600X and RTX 3060 Ti are a fantastic pairing. You might consider a slightly faster RAM kit (3600MHz) for a small performance boost with Ryzen, but 3200MHz is perfectly fine.

Have you tried benchmarking? I'm curious to see your scores. Also, if you ever decide to upgrade, a Ryzen 7 5800X3D would be a great CPU upgrade without needing a new motherboard!

Awesome build! I'm also planning a similar build. How was the airflow in the Meshify C Mini? I'm worried about thermals.

Thanks, everyone!

@PCMasterRaceFan - Good point about the RAM, I'll keep that in mind for future considerations. I ran some initial benchmarks and got a score of around 13,500 on Cinebench R23, and in 3DMark Time Spy, I got about 11,200 graphics score. Pretty happy with that!

@ShiningMiner - The airflow in the Meshify C Mini is actually surprisingly good! The front mesh panel really helps. I've got two intake fans at the front and one exhaust at the back, and as I mentioned, temps are great. You shouldn't have too much trouble with it.
