Hey everyone!
I've finally done it! After months of lurking, researching, and saving up, I've completed my very first custom PC build. I wanted to share it with you all and get some feedback. My main goal was to build a capable gaming rig that wouldn't break the bank, and I think I've hit a sweet spot.
The Specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
- Motherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
- RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz
- Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD (Crucial P3)
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (MSI Ventus 2X OC)
- Case: Fractal Design Meshify C Mini
- Power Supply: Corsair RM650x (650W 80+ Gold)
Why these parts?
I went with the Ryzen 5 5600X for its excellent gaming performance and value. For graphics, the RTX 3060 Ti offers fantastic 1080p and solid 1440p performance, which is exactly what I was aiming for. I prioritized an NVMe SSD for fast load times and a reputable 80+ Gold PSU for efficiency and reliability. The Fractal Design Meshify C Mini is a great case for airflow and cable management, even in a smaller form factor.
Performance & Experience:
I've been testing it out with some of my favorite titles, and I'm thrilled with the results. Games like Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, and Apex Legends run smoothly at high settings with great frame rates. The NVMe SSD makes booting up Windows and loading games incredibly fast. Cable management was a bit challenging in the Mini ITX case, but the Meshify C Mini made it manageable.
I'm particularly happy with how quiet the system is, even under load. The Hyper 212 EVO does a decent job of keeping the CPU cool.
Future Upgrades?
I'm already thinking about potential upgrades down the line. Maybe a slightly beefier GPU or more RAM, but for now, this build exceeds my expectations for the price point.
Here are a couple of quick photos of the build:
Let me know what you think! Any advice or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks for checking it out!
Awesome build, GamerGuy_92! That 3060 Ti is a great choice for 1440p gaming. The Meshify C Mini is a solid case too. How are the temperatures in there under heavy load?
Welcome to the PC building club! Looks clean. That Ryzen 5600X paired with the 3060 Ti is a classic for a reason. Great value. Have you tried any benchmarks?
@TechGuru, thanks! Temperatures are holding up well. CPU usually stays around 65-70°C during gaming, and the GPU hovers around 68-72°C. Pretty happy with that.
@BuildMaster, thanks! I haven't done extensive benchmarking, but I did run Time Spy and got a score of around 9500, which I think is pretty decent for this setup.
