Hey everyone!

Been working on this build for a few weeks and finally got it all put together. I'm incredibly happy with how it turned out. The goal was to create a high-end gaming rig capable of handling any modern title at 1440p or even 4K with high refresh rates.

Core Components:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15
  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER
  • RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
  • Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2TB NVMe SSD
  • PSU: Corsair RM1000e (2023) 1000W 80+ Gold
  • Case: Lian Li Lancool III RGB

I went with the 7800X3D for its gaming prowess, especially in CPU-bound titles, and paired it with the RTX 4080 SUPER for stunning visuals and ray tracing. The Noctua cooler keeps everything frosty, and 32GB of fast DDR5 RAM should be plenty for gaming and multitasking.

The Lian Li Lancool III offers excellent airflow and a clean aesthetic, which was perfect for showcasing the components. Cable management was a breeze!

Here's a quick look at the benchmarks I've seen so far:

Cyberpunk 2077 (RT Ultra, DLSS Quality): ~120 FPS @ 1440p
Red Dead Redemption 2 (Ultra): ~110 FPS @ 1440p
Elden Ring (Max Settings): ~60 FPS @ 1440p (capped)

I'm still tweaking settings and testing more games, but I'm thrilled with the performance. Let me know what you think!

Wow, that build looks absolutely gorgeous! The component choices are top-notch. How are the temps on the 7800X3D with the NH-D15 under heavy load?

Thanks! Temps are fantastic. During an hour-long Cinebench R23 multi-core test, the CPU topped out at around 72°C. In gaming, it usually hovers in the high 50s to low 60s. The NH-D15 is an absolute beast.

This is a dream build! I'm also considering the 7800X3D and the 4080 SUPER. Did you run into any issues with compatibility or installation?

Also, what are your thoughts on the Lian Li Lancool III vs. something like a Fractal Design Meshify 2?
