Pixel 8 Android 15 Beta Launch Discussion

Hey everyone, The Android 15 beta just rolled out for the Pixel 8 today. I've been testing it for a couple of hours and so far the performance feels snappy, but I'm hitting a few bugs with the new Adaptive Battery feature. Anyone else seeing weird drain spikes? Looking forward to your thoughts and any workarounds you might have discovered.

Got the same battery issue. I tried disabling Adaptive Battery under Settings → Battery → Adaptive Battery and the drain went back to normal. Not sure if it’s a regression or a deliberate change.

The beta also introduces the new “Privacy Dashboard” which aggregates all permission usage. It’s pretty handy, but still missing some third‑party apps that request background location. Hope they fix it in the next release.
