Hey everyone!

I've been working on a new build for the past few weeks, and I'm finally ready to share it. My primary goal for this build was absolute cable cleanliness. I spent hours planning, routing, and re-routing to achieve this result. I wanted a build that looked as good as it performed.

The Specs:

  • CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K
  • CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360
  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero
  • RAM: 64GB DDR5 Corsair Vengeance RGB 6400MHz
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4090 Founders Edition
  • Storage: 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe SSD + 4TB Crucial MX500 SSD
  • PSU: Corsair RM1000e (2023)
  • Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO
  • Fans: 9x Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM

Cable Management Techniques:

I utilized a combination of strategies:

  • PSU Cable Extensions: Custom sleeved extensions from CableMod for a cleaner look.
  • Velcro Straps: Generous use of Velcro straps to bundle cables neatly.
  • Case Fan Hub: All fan power and PWM signals go through a central hub.
  • Under-Motherboard Tray Routing: The majority of PSU cables are hidden behind the motherboard tray.
  • Zip Ties (Sparingly): Used only where necessary for very tight bends or securing individual cables.
  • 3D Printed Cable Combs: Custom-designed and 3D printed combs to keep GPU power cables perfectly aligned.

Check out the photos below to see the result. I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Wow, @GameMaster99, this is absolutely stunning! The symmetry on the GPU power cables is perfection. What kind of 3D printed combs did you use?

@GameMaster99, seriously impressive work. That Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO is a great case for showcasing cable management. Did you have any trouble fitting that massive 4090?
