Best Cable Sleeving Products

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to give my PC build a really clean look and I'm ready to dive into cable sleeving. I've seen some amazing builds with custom sleeved cables, and I want to achieve that professional finish. I'm wondering what are the best products out there for cable sleeving? Looking for advice on:

• Types of sleeving (PET, Nylon, Paracord, etc.)
• Best brands for pre-sleeved cables if I don't want to DIY
• Tools needed for DIY sleeving (heat shrink, connectors, crimpers)
• Where to find high-quality sleeving materials and components.

For DIY sleeving, MDPC-X is widely considered the gold standard for PET sleeving. Their quality is unmatched, and they have a huge range of colors. CableMod is another popular choice, especially if you're looking for pre-sleeved kits or specific connector types. They also offer excellent DIY supplies.

If you're going the DIY route, you'll need:

• Sleeving: MDPC-X or Techflex (more budget-friendly)
• Heat Shrink: Get a good assortment pack.
• Crimpers: A dedicated crimping tool for PSU connectors is a must.
• Wire Strippers: Essential for preparing wires.
• Connectors: If you're making your own cables from scratch.

Echoing what CableMaster said about MDPC-X. Their quality is fantastic, but it comes at a premium. If you're on a tighter budget, Techflex is a very solid alternative. It's widely available and still looks great. I've used both and the difference is noticeable, but for most builds, Techflex is more than sufficient.

For pre-sleeved cables, CableMod is definitely the go-to for many. They offer custom configurators which are super handy. If you want something readily available, brands like Asiahorse on Amazon also provide decent pre-sleeved extension kits at a lower price point, though the quality might not be on par with premium options.

Don't forget to consider the diameter of the sleeving to match your cable gauge!
