My Custom Loop Silent Beast Build Showcase

Hey everyone!

After months of planning, sourcing parts, and a few sleepless nights, I'm finally ready to showcase my custom loop PC build. The goal was to achieve maximum performance with absolute silence, hence the "Silent Beast" moniker.

The Vision

I wanted a PC that could handle demanding AAA titles and professional workloads without making a sound comparable to a jet engine. Aesthetics were also a huge factor, with a clean, minimalist design and integrated RGB that enhances, rather than distracts.

Component Breakdown:

  • CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition
  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme
  • RAM: 64GB G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5-6400
  • Storage: 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe SSD + 4TB Samsung 870 EVO SATA SSD
  • PSU: Corsair RM1000e
  • Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO
  • Custom Loop Components:
    • CPU Block: EK-Quantum Velocity² D-RGB - 1700
    • GPU Block: EK-Quantum Vector² FE RTX 4090 D-RGB - Nickel + Acetal
    • Radiators: 2x EK-CoolStream PE 360 (Top & Side)
    • Pump/Reservoir Combo: EK-Quantum Kinetic TBE 200 D5 PWM D-RGB - Acetal
    • Fittings: EK-Quantum Torque HDC 12, EK-Quantum Torque Rotary 90° Adapters
    • Tubing: EK-HD Tube 14mm (PETG)
    • Coolant: EK-CryoFuel Clear (Premix)
    • Fans: Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM chromax.black.swap

The Build Process

Building with a custom loop is definitely a journey. The planning phase involved creating a detailed diagram of the loop, ensuring proper flow and minimizing bends. Installing the blocks and radiators was straightforward, but the tubing runs and leak testing required patience and meticulous attention to detail.

I opted for PETG tubing with hard bends for a cleaner look. The double 360mm radiators, combined with the ultra-quiet Noctua fans running at very low RPMs, keep the CPU and GPU temperatures incredibly low, even under heavy load. This allows the fans to spin almost inaudibly.

Performance & Noise Levels

In Cinebench R23, the 13900K holds steady around 70-75°C. In gaming benchmarks like Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K max settings, the RTX 4090 stays below 60°C. The most impressive part? The loudest component is arguably the SSD activity, with fan noise being practically non-existent.

I'm thrilled with the result. It's a powerful, silent, and beautiful machine. Let me know what you think in the comments!
