My First NUC‑Style Mini‑ITX Build – Feedback?
TechGuru42• Sep 15, 2025 14:32

Hey everyone, I've just finished assembling my first NUC‑style Mini‑ITX build. I'm using a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, a 1‑U heatsink, and a 2‑TB NVMe SSD. The case is the Streacom DB4. I'm looking for any suggestions on cable management, potential bottlenecks, or general feedback.

Pictures attached below – let me know what you think!

Looks clean! Consider using braided power cables – they reduce clutter and look great.

Thermal paste application looks perfect. If you run into temps >85°C under load, try a high‑flow pad.

The 2‑TB NVMe should be more than enough for most workloads. Just keep an eye on firmware updates for stability.
