Hi everyone,

I'm struggling with getting a natural look in my landscape photos. I'm using Lightroom, but I'm always pushing too hard on the contrast. Any tips on how to achieve a more subtle, realistic effect? I'm particularly having trouble with the mountains – they always look too harsh.

Try using the "Tone Curve" adjustment in Lightroom. You can create a flatter tone curve to reduce contrast. Also, experiment with the "Clarity" slider – a little can add detail without harshness.

Great question! Another thing to consider is using the "HSL" (Hue, Saturation, Luminance) adjustments to subtly shift the colors. Mountains often look harsh because they're reflecting strong blues and whites – reducing the saturation of those colors can help.
