I'm experiencing intermittent latency spikes when syncing large datasets across multiple regions using SyncPro. The average sync time is 15 minutes for a 50 GB dataset, but sometimes it jumps to over an hour. I've tried adjusting the chunk size and enabling compression, but the issue persists.

Has anyone benchmarked SyncPro with different configurations? What network settings or API parameters have you found most effective for reducing latency and improving throughput?

Any tips on monitoring and fine‑tuning would be greatly appreciated.

We had a similar issue last quarter. The main bottleneck turned out to be the default maxConcurrentTransfers setting, which limited us to 4 parallel streams. Raising it to 12 helped cut the sync time by roughly 30%.

Also, make sure you enable multipart upload with a part size of at least 10 MB. Smaller parts increase overhead.

In addition to Alan's suggestions, consider using VPC peering between the regions when possible. The reduced hop count significantly lowers round‑trip time.

We also set transferRateLimit to 0 (unlimited) after confirming our bandwidth can handle the load. It prevented the auto‑throttling that SyncPro applies under default settings.

Don't forget to enable server‑side encryption with the KMS key you already have. While it adds minimal overhead, it ensures data‑in‑transit security without a noticeable performance hit.
