Hey everyone!
I've been following the advancements in AI hardware closely, especially the new generation of TPUs and GPUs. The performance gains are incredible, but the power consumption is still a concern. What are your thoughts on the most promising directions for future AI chip development? Are we looking at specialized neuromorphic chips, or will general-purpose hardware continue to dominate?
Here's a snippet of a recent benchmark I saw:
Model: XYZ-AI v3 Dataset: ABC-100k Hardware: NVIDIA RTX 4090 Batch Size: 128 Inference Time: 0.5 ms/sample Power Draw: 450W (peak)
Looking forward to hearing your insights!
