  Great topic, John! I agree about AI. I've been experimenting with AI-powered code completion, and it's incredible how much faster it makes prototyping. However, I worry about the potential for skill atrophy if we rely on it too heavily. We still need strong foundational knowledge.

  WebAssembly is another big one. The ability to run code written in languages like Rust or C++ directly in the browser opens up so many possibilities for performance-intensive applications. I think we'll see more complex games, video editing tools, and even desktop-like experiences in the browser thanks to WASM.

  What about the continued evolution of UI frameworks? React, Vue, Svelte, SolidJS... it feels like a new paradigm emerges every year. I'm personally enjoying the declarative approach and the focus on componentization. It makes building complex interfaces much more manageable.

  And PWAs are definitely underrated. They offer a near-native app experience without the friction of app stores for many use cases.
