.NET Framework Terms of Use

1. Introduction

Welcome to the .NET Framework. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of the .NET Framework software, including any associated documentation, libraries, APIs, and updates (collectively, the ".NET Framework"). By accessing or using the .NET Framework, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the .NET Framework.

The .NET Framework is a software development platform developed by Microsoft. It is designed to enable developers to build a wide range of applications, from web applications to desktop applications.

2. License Grant

Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Microsoft grants you a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, limited license to use the .NET Framework for the purposes of developing, testing, and running applications. This license includes the right to:

4. Restrictions

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the .NET Framework, except to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.
• Modify or create derivative works of the .NET Framework, except as expressly permitted by these Terms or in the documentation.
• Rent, lease, lend, or sell the .NET Framework to any third party.
• Remove any proprietary notices or labels on the .NET Framework.
• Use the .NET Framework in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair any Microsoft server or the network(s) connected to any Microsoft server or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of the .NET Framework.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the .NET Framework, other accounts, computer systems or networks connected to any Microsoft server through hacking, password mining or any other means.

5. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE .NET FRAMEWORK IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. MICROSOFT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE FUNCTIONS CONTAINED IN THE .NET FRAMEWORK WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT THE OPERATION OF THE .NET FRAMEWORK WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL MICROSOFT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE .NET FRAMEWORK, EVEN IF MICROSOFT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in King County, Washington, USA, for the resolution of any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms.
