Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for participation within our community, as well as measures for upholding a safe and respectful environment for everyone. We are committed to providing a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, age, or experience level.
Our Standards
We expect all participants to adhere to this Code of Conduct in all community spaces, whether online or offline. This includes, but is not limited to, contributing to discussions, submitting code or content, and participating in events.
We strive to be a community that:
- Is inclusive and welcoming: We aim to create a space where everyone feels comfortable and valued.
- Is respectful: Interactions should be polite, constructive, and considerate of others' perspectives.
- Is considerate and collaborative: We encourage open communication and teamwork.
- Is empathetic and understanding: We approach others with kindness and a willingness to understand.
- Is professional: Even in informal settings, we maintain a level of professionalism.
Expected Behavior
To help us achieve these standards, we ask that you:
- Use welcoming and inclusive language.
- Be respectful of different viewpoints and experiences.
- Gracefully accept constructive criticism.
- Focus on what is best for the community.
- Show empathy toward other community members.
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are considered unacceptable:
- The use of sexualized language or imagery and unwelcome sexual attention.
- Doxing or any other form of harassment.
- Public or private harassment.
- Publishing others' private information, such as physical or electronic addresses, without explicit permission.
- Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional or community setting.
- Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks.
- Unwelcome and repeated attention or intimidation (online or offline).
- Harassment, stalking, or following.
- Taking photos or recording others without consent.
- Sustained disruption of discussions or events.
- Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.
Enforcement
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in consequences including, but not limited to, being asked to leave an event, being blocked from community spaces, or having contributions removed.
If you witness or are subjected to unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please report it by contacting the community moderators immediately.
This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1.
