Let’s assume you need to add 10 VMs in the next week. A gradual increase would involve increasing the instance size and the number of VMs.
If you experience a sudden spike in traffic, a rapid increase is often more efficient. This could involve scaling out your VMs – adding more virtual machines to handle the load.
