Overview
This guide walks you through connecting to a virtual network (VNet) via Azure Bastion, enabling you to securely access and manage resources within that VNet without requiring a public IP address. VNet peering allows you to connect two VNets, and Azure Bastion provides a secure alternative to traditional remote access.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have the following:
- An Azure subscription
- An existing VNet with VNet peering configured
- An Azure Bastion host
Connecting with Azure Bastion
Follow these steps to connect to your VNet via Azure Bastion:
Step 1: Start Azure Bastion
In the Azure portal, navigate to your Azure Bastion host.
Step 2: Select a VNet
In the Azure Bastion pane, select "Virtual network" and then choose the VNet you want to connect to.
Step 3: Access Resources
Now you can access and manage resources within the selected VNet via the Azure Bastion console.
Important Considerations
- Ensure VNet peering is correctly configured between the VNets.
- Azure Bastion requires a Bastion host to be deployed and configured.
- For optimal performance, ensure sufficient network bandwidth is available.
