UWP Sensors Overview

Accelerometer

The accelerometer reports the device's acceleration along the X, Y, and Z axes. It’s useful for detecting motion, device orientation changes, and step counting.

Gyrometer

The gyrometer provides angular velocity readings around the three axes, allowing developers to track rotation and orientation changes precisely.

Inclinometer

The inclinometer measures the tilt of the device relative to gravity, offering pitch, roll, and yaw values.

Magnetometer

The magnetometer detects magnetic fields and can be used to determine heading relative to magnetic north, useful for compass applications.

Light Sensor

The light sensor measures ambient light intensity, enabling adaptive UI brightness adjustments.

Barometer

The barometer provides atmospheric pressure data, which can be used for altitude calculations and weather-related apps.
