Regions and Availability
Azure Private Link offers comprehensive regional coverage across Azure. This document outlines the availability of Private Link components, including Private Link services and Private Endpoints, across various Azure regions.
Global Availability
Azure Private Link is designed for global deployment. You can leverage Private Link to securely connect your virtual networks to Azure PaaS services or your own SaaS applications regardless of their location and your network's location. The core components are available in most Azure public regions.
Private Link Service Availability
The Private Link Service allows you to expose your own services (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure SQL Database, custom applications hosted on VMs or App Services) to other Azure consumers privately. The Private Link Service is available in the following Azure regions:
| Region | Availability Status |

Private Endpoint Availability
Private Endpoints are the network interfaces that connect your virtual network to an Azure Private Link service. Private Endpoints are available in all Azure regions where Azure services are deployed. This means you can create a Private Endpoint in any Azure region to connect to a Private Link service, regardless of the service's region, as long as it's supported.
When creating a Private Endpoint, you can select a target resource from any Azure region. The Private Endpoint will be provisioned in the specified consumer region, enabling private connectivity.
Cross-Region Connectivity
Azure Private Link facilitates cross-region private connectivity. You can create a Private Endpoint in one Azure region to connect to a Private Link service deployed in a different Azure region. This is a powerful capability for building resilient and geographically distributed applications.
Limitations and Considerations
- Service Availability: Not all Azure services are enabled for Private Link. Refer to the Azure Private Link supported services documentation for a current list.
- Region Parity: Ensure that the Azure region where you intend to deploy your Private Link service or Private Endpoint has the necessary support.
- Resource Provider Registration: Ensure the
Microsoft.Networkresource provider is registered in your subscription for all regions where you plan to use Private Link.

Key Takeaways
- Private Link services are available in a growing list of Azure regions.
- Private Endpoints can be created in virtually any Azure region to connect to supported services.
- Cross-region private connectivity is fully supported.
- Always check the latest documentation for specific service and region availability.
