This thread is dedicated to discussing and providing feedback on my recent budget AM5 build. I've aimed to strike a balance between affordability and performance for a mainstream gaming and productivity setup.
**Component List:**
* **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
* **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B650M DS3H
* **RAM:** G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
* **Storage:** Crucial P3 Plus 1TB NVMe SSD
* **GPU:** PowerColor Fighter AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
* **Case:** Montech AIR 100 ARGB Micro-ATX
* **PSU:** Corsair CX650M (2021) 650W 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular
**Initial Thoughts:**
The Ryzen 5 7600X paired with the B650M motherboard offers a solid foundation for AM5. The 32GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000 CL30 is ideal for Ryzen 7000 series performance. The RX 6700 XT is a great value 1440p gaming card, and the 1TB NVMe provides fast storage. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions!

Great build! The 7600X is a fantastic CPU for the price, and you got a really good RAM kit to go with it. How are the thermals on the 7600X with the stock cooler? I'm also considering this CPU.

@TechSavvyGamer Thanks! I'm actually using the included Wraith Prism cooler, and while it's not silent under heavy load, the temps are holding steady around 70-75°C during gaming, which is perfectly acceptable for me. I might upgrade to an aftermarket cooler later if needed, but for now, it's doing the job.

That RX 6700 XT is a beast! I've been eyeing one for my own build. Is that the Gigabyte B650M DS3H? I heard it's a good budget option. Did you have any issues installing components or with BIOS?

@GamerGirl98 Yes, that's the exact motherboard. Installation was straightforward, and the BIOS was surprisingly user-friendly. I did have to update the BIOS to the latest version for optimal RAM compatibility and performance, which is always a good idea with new platforms.

Excellent build log. The component choices are very sensible for a budget-focused AM5 build. I’m curious about the PSU – the CX650M is a solid choice, but did you consider a Gold-rated PSU for better efficiency and longevity? For this build, 650W is plenty.

@PCEnthusiast That's a fair point. I chose the CX650M because it was on sale and offered semi-modular cables for easier management, which is a plus in a micro-ATX build. While a Gold-rated PSU would be more efficient, the power draw for this configuration isn't excessively high, so the Bronze certification should be fine. I factored in the cost savings towards the RAM and GPU.
