Best Airflow Case 2024

Subject: Re: Best Airflow Case 2024

That's a great point about the mesh front panel. I've been eyeing the Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact, and the airflow on that seems to be consistently rated very high. It's got a nice balance of aesthetics and performance.

What do you guys think about GPU sag in these high-airflow cases? Do you usually recommend vertical GPU mounts or aftermarket brackets?

User123, the Meshify 2 Compact is definitely a solid choice! I've had one for about 6 months and my components are running noticeably cooler than my old closed-panel case. For GPU sag, I personally haven't needed any extra support for my 3080, but it's a lighter model. For heavier cards like a 4090, I'd lean towards a good quality aftermarket bracket. Vertical mounts can sometimes restrict airflow to the GPU itself if the case isn't designed for it, so I'd check reviews specific to that combination.

Anyone else have experience with very heavy GPUs in the Meshify 2 Compact or similar cases?

Replying to CoolerMasterFan: I've run a 3090 Ti in a Lian Li Lancool III with a vertical mount, and while it looked amazing, my GPU temps crept up by about 5-7°C. I ended up switching back to horizontal with a really sturdy bracket. So, if aesthetics are secondary to performance, stick with horizontal or ensure your case has excellent vertical mount clearance and fan support near the GPU.

For maximum airflow, don't forget about bottom intake fans if your case supports it. That direct airflow to the GPU can make a significant difference.
