Hey everyone,

I recently updated my Pixel 6 to Android 13 and I've noticed a significant drop in battery performance. It used to last me a full day with moderate usage, but now I'm struggling to get through the afternoon. Anyone else experiencing this? Any tips or known issues?

I've already tried clearing cache partition and checking background app usage, but nothing seems to help much.

The drain seems to be coming from 'System UI' and sometimes 'Android System'. Is this common?

Hi TechGuru123,

Yes, I've seen similar reports on other devices. It seems like some optimizations in Android 13 might be causing increased power consumption for certain system processes. Have you checked if there are any app updates available that might be causing conflicts?

Sometimes, a fresh install of the OS can resolve these kinds of issues, though it's a hassle. I would also recommend keeping an eye on the battery usage graph in settings to pinpoint exactly what's consuming the most power.

I'm on a Samsung S22 Ultra with Android 13 and I haven't noticed any significant battery drain. If anything, it feels slightly better. Maybe it's device-specific or a particular app you have installed?

Have you tried disabling features like "Adaptive Battery" or "Background usage limits" temporarily to see if that makes a difference? Sometimes those features can be a bit aggressive.

I agree with AndroidWizard. My OnePlus 10 Pro is running Android 13 smoothly. My only advice would be to check for any rogue apps or services that might have been installed recently. A quick factory reset is the last resort, but often effective.

Also, make sure adaptive brightness and high refresh rates are configured correctly. Sometimes leaving them on auto can lead to unexpected battery usage.
