Welcome to the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) Community for .NET. By accessing and participating in this community, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Your access to and use of the MSDN Community .NET platform (the "Service") is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms of Use. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of these Terms.

Microsoft reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms of Use or that it deems inappropriate, without prior notice.

All content on the Service, including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and software, is the property of Microsoft or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws. The compilation of all content on this Service is the exclusive property of Microsoft.

The trademarks, service marks, and logos displayed on the Service are registered and unregistered marks of Microsoft. Your use of the Service does not grant you any right or license to use any such marks without the prior written permission of Microsoft.

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Statement. Please review our Privacy Statement to understand our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information.

6. Modifications to the Service and Terms

Microsoft reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict your access to parts or the entire Service without notice or liability.

Microsoft does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Microsoft, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of these Terms or the Service shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located in King County, Washington.
